Evaluating the treatment status of multiple sclerosis patients registered in the M.S. registrysystem in years between ۱۳۹۹ - ۱۴۰۰ in Qazvin province

Introduction: Multiple sclerosis is an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system that has a progressivecourse and has many symptoms, and therefore there are many treatment methods and treatments used to treatthe disease. The purpose of this study is to investigate the treatment status of multiple sclerosis patientsregistered in the M.S. registry system. It is in Qazvin province in ۱۳۹۹-۱۴۰۰Methods: In this cross-sectional (descriptive-analytical) study, demographic information and usage rate of ۱۰۳patients registered in the registry system of M.S. Qazvin Province has been investigated for complementarytreatments in ۱۴۰۰-۱۳۳۹, and after receiving the initial information, statistical analysis was done using SPSS ۲۳software.Results: According to the results obtained in this study, the majority of the studied subjects were female, in theyoung age range, with a diploma level of education, unemployed, and born in Qazvin province. Also, there wasa significant relationship between the amount of patients using complementary medicine (traditional medicine,acupuncture, bee therapy) and the EDSS score and gender, while there was no significant relationship betweenthe factors of age, education level and employment status of the examined patientsConclusion: According to the results of this study, complementary medicine can be used alongside the use ofpharmaceutical treatment methods, and for this reason, it is necessary to inform treating doctors and patients inthis field
