چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: The most common type of cancer in women, which has a high mortality rate, is breast cancer,which is caused by various environmental factors. Therefore, this study was designed with the aim ofinvestigating the role of environmental factors on the incidence of breast cancer.Methods: The present study is a review study that was written in ۲۰۲۲. Medline/PubMed, Google Scholar, andWeb of Sciences databases were used to search for related articles. In the first stage, a total of ۵۸ articles werefound, after applying the entry and exit criteria, this number was reduced to ۴۷. The inclusion criteria included:the article being Latin and the availability of the full text, and the exclusion criteria included: case report studies.Results: A review of various studies showed that breast cancer is common in both men and women, but it ismore common in women because of various environmental factors such as air and drinking water pollution,working in a chemical environment, and high-risk jobs such as factories. Leather and papermaking, exposure toparabens and chemical dyes, cigarette smoke, ionizing radiation, and estrogenic substances. Also, in anotherstudy, it is stated that exposure to estrogenic plant substances compared to animal substances reduces theincidence of breast cancer. During further research, it was found that breast tissue is more prone tocarcinogenesis in certain periods of life, and the time of exposure to environmental risk factors is very important.Conclusion: Generally, the examination of various results showed that environmental factors play an effectiverole in the occurrence of breast cancer. Therefore, it is suggested to prevent breast cancer by performingscreening examinations, regular mammography and limiting the use of chemicals.
