Investigating Wax Deposition Mechanisms in Oil Pipelines

One of the most important challenges in the oil industry is the deposition of wax masses on the way to oil production. wax transfer due to concentration gradient, which starts with the molecular diffusion mechanism. Also, wax precipitation and crystallization take place during three consecutive phenomena including nucleus formation, growth, and cluster formation. In this research, a comprehensive investigation of wax deposition in the oil production process has been carried out, and effective factors in the formation of wax deposits, mechanisms related to wax deposition, and also how to control and prevent wax deposition in Oil transmission pipelines are provided.
